The Family Foundation was established by Eileen Christensen to assist families who care for disabled children.

Its purpose is to provide respite care (periodic child care so that the care givers can have some time away from the pressures of care giving).  It has been reported that over 80% of married couples who care for a handicapped child divorce.

The Family Foundation provides some relief from the constant pressures facing these families.  Having experienced the challenges of caring for her own child, and knowing what it would mean to families like hers, Eileen decided to do something herself to help others and created Family Foundation which has help many families who see Eileen as a blessing from God.
