Into His Arms

If only it was another time, another place,

before you fell into that maze of grief and sorrow,

giving no thought of tomorrow.

I can see you, your still wandering there trapped,

angry and going nowhere.

I search to know what is holding you down on this ground.

I pray to understand why you can't just spread your wings and fly

up and away to a better place full of love and full of grace.

I wish I could take you away, away from this place.

I wish I could just hold out my hand and pull you away from harm,

pull you away from harm into His arms.

But now I know that I can't go to that place with you

for I know a better way from which I can not  move.

The only way out is up my friend

and I'll be waiting there for you to mend your broken wings and fly.

I wish I could take you away, away from this place

and show you at your own pace.

That love can be born again

and my faith in you will never end.

He alone can lift you up.

He will pull you away from harm,

pull you away from harm into His arms.
